Spanaway is located in east Pierce County. It has long been considered “the country,” A mix of new and old homes and buildings. There is a mix of 1960s to present houses, as well as some historic farmhouses for sale. Pacific Lutheran University is one of Spanaway’s most notable features. Spanaway is a wonderful choice for those who desire easy access to nature for all kinds of outdoor activities or would just like to relax away from the hustle and bustle of Seattle.
In the 1800s, Spanaway was known by natives as Lushootseed spadue meaning “dug roots” referring to an area where edible roots can be found. Later “Spanueh” was how new settlers began pronouncing spadue because of the difficulty in nasal pronunciation that was used. In 1890 the name was changed yet again to the community of Lake Park. The U.S. Board on Geographic Names recognized the community of “Lake Park” as Spanaway in 1970, based on respect for the original native name.

The maintenance team for RPM Today is amazing. As soon as I had an issue, RPM sent over maintenance right away – the same night- and he fixed everything in less than 2 hours.
I will continue to confidently send my clients to Lee Rushton and his team, knowing they will be in good hands. Thank you RPM Today for providing such great service.
The urban sprawl has ceased to stop in Spanaway. Due to a large military personnel in the area, Spanaway continues to be a hot market for rentals and sales. Sales mostly come from all the new homes built in the area. Rentals in this area continue to do well and will thrive for years to come.
Who else can say they have these people behind them?

My communication with RPM Today is always friendly. They are approachable, genuine and always willing to help and listen. The best thing was to call them and have someone show up on a Sunday willing to help show the vacancy and put everything together with professionalism and precision so quickly.
RPM Today always contacts me about issues with tenants and lets me make the decisions. They’re always available for me to come up and visit. The staff is so warm and welcoming; in fact they baked us cookies for my last visit. I had my grandson with me and that certainly made his day.
